Derek Payne joined Patterson-Bryant in 2001. Prior to that he worked for General Motors in the squeak and rattle department as a vehicle analysis technician. Through years of hard work and accomplishments at GM, he was promoted to the position of reliability engineer at the GM Truck and Bus plant. In this role Derek was responsible for the entire vehicle trim line department. His main duties Included: participating in supplier process audits, ensured that material and equipment were correctly used, provide special cause problem solving expertise for assembly plant concerns, coordinate and validate the receipt of corrected materials.
Prior to that Derek worked as a quality control auditor, program site coordinator for process development corp. using a simulated JD Power program to evaluate the newly built vehicles prior to shipping. While in this position Derek did extensive traveling to various GM and Ford plants in the U.S.
Before Mr. Payne's career with the automotive industry he worked with Comerica Bank as a retail-marketing consultant, coordinating advertising strategies for all product lines.
Mr. Payne is a graduate of University of Phoenix with a BS in Business Information Technology with a minor in language arts.
Derek is responsible for all of Patterson - Bryant's 4000 individual clients.
